AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!

...is basically how I have been feeling. Today, yesterday and the day before now. Why? Because the waters of inspiration runneth dry, and total sandblasted landscapes stareth back at me when ever I sit down to write. I've been running into tons of things that I wanted to dash off a paragraph or two about; but once I've popped up Ye Olde Trusty Laptop, all I see is blank white spaces and fingers that refuse to twiddle out the bittiest of bits. This is Writer's Block with a Capital W and Capital B.

So, taking a breather from screaming in panic, inside my own head (try that sometime, the acoustics are to die for!), am now trying to write about trying to write. And trying. And trying. And TRYING. :o( **imagine the tears dripping, down the cheek and off the chin, all on your ownsome - no dearth of waters there**

That's it. Am throwing in the towel. For now. Come back and see me once I've managed to rewire my brain. And pray that I don't fry it in the process.

Taz,
There are sometimes we all face these so called "Writers Block". I don't know why that happens, but sometimes when we try to pen out the words or ideas that are brimming in our brains, they just don't translate into words we like. i have this feeling so often and that's the reason I forced myself to start blogging, so that my rusty writing skills that i used to be so proud of back in school would be revived. But unfortunately i have not yet achieved the level I'd like to. Sometimes we set such high benchmarks and kill ourselves with the expectations we set for ourselves....

So it's ok .. take it easy, if you need a break have it and like someone said to one of my friends "have a kitkat too" ;)

But I would like to tell you ... that you write beautifully .. ekdum "dil se" and I am a big fan of yours .. so you really don't have to push yourself so hard .... The writer's edge you desire will come back, trust me ...!!!

Don't stop you are doing a wonderful job already!!!!!!! You have one big fan cheerng you on !!!Love your works!! So keep the prose flowing .. :)

(Sorry the comment turned out to be longer than the original post *sheepish grin*)

Girl, sometimes all we need is people who believe (In us, specifically, but in any case belief is good). And sometimes, we need Fans. And ACs and Room Coolers, and the whole shebang.

Love ur comments, and love ur blog. So here's to mutual admiration and much writing!

Welcome to the Writers' Block! I live there - heck, I must've founded it. Now you found it - tch...bad pun...lost you there, huh?

Well, the (t)Rusty Old Laptop is only a dumb mule to do its bidding, unless you use advanced search tools to plagiarize somebody else's Writer's Block!

And trust me, faith is better than belief. It's blind, you see. So people don't actually read the stuff you write, they just read (or run their fingers over) the by-line and assume it must be good.

But lose not faith in thyself, for thy flock groweth (whoever penned The Book must be charging up those lightning bolts or whatever they send from up there to strike down yours truly).

Here's to a recharged you - minus the lightning, of course. And you do write beautifully, so chill.

Dear Cynick - thanks for dropping by! Going by your comments, you've never lived in the Writer's Block, though you may have built it ;o)

Yenivays (*pls to be yimagining a Quick-gun Murugan accent there..*), the recharging / rewiring proceedeth with much encouragement and much reading of Terry "Him The Man!" Pratchett! So will soon be coming out of cold storage (*snigger...see the 'Chill' connection there?!*) and being the Living Pen that writeth Words of Fire, and having writ, writeth on!! (Sheesh...how much Lightening did I just earn?!)

Drat! My spellings have lost it!! Please to be replacing 'Lightning' for 'Lightening' in above comment

"Muddalla sapad, aparon nee" - well, that's all i can recall of comrade Quick Gun, that, too, as told by some erstwhile colleagues in a desperate bid to twist my tongue around at least one tamil phrase! No 'aparon' strings attached there, though, if I've managed to spell it right.

Typos are ok, although I used to turn up my nose at them in the not too distant past. The more humanized version 2.0 of the en'lightened' cynick allows for these in human beings.

Glad you're back among the living, the breathing and the writing! May all the lightning bolts headed your way turn into flashes of inspiration (or even spell-checkers!) as they hit you.

Best
